    An emergency or disaster can erase the vital documents and records of our lives instantly if we haven’t prepared in advance. Planning ahead means saving the basic information needed to endure a crisis and get lives back on track afterwards. One way to do that is to have our vital documents and information scanned onto a memory stick, sometimes called a thumb drive, and keeping that drive with your emergency Go Bag in case you have to evacuate in a hurry.
