EIC President Jackie Dunagan and EIC Secretary Marty Williams scan vital documents for resident Heather McKinney.

The Emergency Information Council held its first vital document scanning event on Thursday Feb 22. Residents brought their Stock and Membership certificates, Medical Power of Attorney documents and other important papers to be scanned onto a free thumb drive. Driver’s license and credit cards were copied and then scanned as well. There was plenty of thumb drives left at the end of the event and a repeat of the event is planned in about two months. Also on hand was a waterproof canister to store the drive and a fireproof bag to keep original documents safe.
